Paul was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is a forth generation Calgarian. He is a practicing lawyer, a member of the Alberta Bar for over 30 years.
Paul was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2008 and holds memberships in the Law Society of Alberta, the International Fiscal Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Canadian Bar Association and the Estate Planning Council of Calgary.
Paul’s background and experience is in the tax, trust and estate planning areas of law. His practice focuses on educating potential clients on how to identify risk, and once identified, how to manage that risk. He provides bespoke preservation planning and products designed to assist business owner-managers, entrepreneurs and wealthy individuals to protect their investments and their work in a tax efficient manner.
Paul’s presentation will look at two aspects of his practice; the phases of preservation planning and the risk management asset preservation analysis.
