Student Competition

Student Presentation Competition

There will be no Student Competition in 2023.

The competition is open to teams of post-secondary students who are interested in careers in financial services.

To enter, each school selects a team of 2 to 3 students who submit a 2-page presentation outline, referencing that year’s Symposium Case Study, along with a 3 to 5 minute promotional video, to the national competition review committee.

For more information on the competition, watch this brief video. A pdf of the presentation can be downloaded as well.

2021 Winners

The winners of the 2021 competition were Jenna Silverberg, Brandi Mills and Graeme Wach from Dalhousie University. You can watch their actual Symposium presentation. We have included the Q&A period so students can see the kind of questions the audience may ask during the question period.

Why Should Your Students Participate?

Bryce Cross from Dalhousie University has been on 2 winning teams! Here’s what he has to say about our competition “The conference will expose you to dozens of employment and personal growth opportunities that just can’t be received in the classroom or at other case competitions. It’s been one of the most influential experiences of my undergraduate education!”

SAIT student Trevor Readman was on the 2019 winning team along with his twin brother. Here is what he had to say. “It was one of the most significant events we’ve ever attended. We would recommend this once in a lifetime opportunity to any student who is looking to take their learning outside of the classroom.”
