To ensure the highest level of excellence and ethics to the industry, we have created the R.F.P.<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> designation. The designation requires continuous educational improvement. A 2006 Members Survey showed 80% of 91 members \u201cVery Satisfied\u201d and none dissatisfied with the IAFP\u2019s online administrative processes.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>The R.F.P.<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Forum (an R.F.P.<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> -only email exchange) was launched based on a concept Doug Macdonald experienced as a member of US-based NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors). The R.F.P.<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Forum was an immediate success, allowing R.F.P.<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>s to email questions to each other and quickly tap the expertise of their colleagues across Canada for the benefit of all.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>David Christianson introduced a \u201cProfessional Standards of Practice for R.F.P.<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>s\u201d document to complement the Code of Ethics and confirm the practice standards, with the hope that other financial planners in Canada would also aspire to this standard.
