The Institute of Advanced Financial Planners™ (IAFP®) is looking for motivated and passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a board member, you’ll help guide and influence the direction of the IAFP® , advancing the interests of financial planners and strengthening the profession as a whole. We are currently seeking three (3) new Board Directors to serve a two-year term, beginning January 1, 2027.  If you’re a current or retired R.F.P.® in good standing and are passionate about supporting and enhancing the financial planning profession, we’d love to hear from you.

Board Member Responsibilities

Board members are expected to:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight of the organization
  • Attend four meetings per year:
    • Three virtual (January, June, December)
    • One in-person (September at the Annual Symposium)
  • Participate in committee work as needed
  • Represent the IAFP®’s values and goals

 

Board members play a key role in shaping the vision and operations of the IAFP® and your input will have a direct impact on the future of the financial planning profession in Canada
